Wake Village, TX - Week #68

McKennah and her new comp Sister Anderson

Hello everyone!
Thanks for the emails that I got this week. I loved them all soo much!!

As y'all know, this week was transfer week! They are always so bitter sweet and just so emotional sometimes! It was hard leaving Sandhill. I learned a lot from that area and from the companions that I have served with there. I got lucky! Sister Durtschi made my last transfer there a blast!! I miss will miss her!  It was amazing! It was all a miracle. I definitely have seen a lot of good come from serving there. I miss it soo much! But I also know that this is where I should be and I am accepting that.(:

SO! My new comp is..drum roll please..SISTER ANDERSON! She has been serving for about 8 months now and has a ton of gospel knowledge on her belt! She is a great teacher and  has so much to offer. I am already learning a lot from her! I am excited to see what good miracles we will see this transfer! We are currently serving in ..TEXARKANA! If you haven't figured out already, that means Texas and Arkansas! Which Y'all know what that means too right?!? I am serving in ALL of the states of my mission! Pretty exciting stuff! It is soo crazy how different all of my areas have been. It is like a different mission for each state you serve in! haha that is the best I can explain it! We have a great teaching pool. We have 2 investigators preparing to be baptized this month and so we are pretty excited about that!

This area is definitely different than all of the other areas I have served in. I honestly did not expect to be called here! In the back of my mind I have always wanted to serve in Texas, but then I also wanted to serve in all of the states in this mission too! This is probably my last area before I come home and so I didn't know which wish would happen first. God knew what I wanted so he gave me both wishes! I know he knows us! He is aware of everything that we are doing and who we are serving!

This week I have been thinking about the will of the Lord. Sometimes we get what we want and sometimes God gives us what we need. Unfortunately we don't get to choose which he will give us but I know that he knows what is best. If we put our trust in him he will help us. I know that to be true y'all! I love the scripture Proverbs 3:3-5; When we acknowledge him and trust him he will guide our paths. I love you all! I hope you have a blessed week! (:

Good morning momma!

Thanks for the awesome email! I love reading them and hearing from you each week. I got an email from Ayden that was the best thing ever! (: It sounds like summer is wrapping up and school is starting again. I can't believe it is that time of the year again! I absolutely loved Sandhill. It is definitely one of my favorite areas and some of the goodbyes were just heartbreaking for me! I miss the wonderful people there. I guess I do feel like I did a great job in that area, I got attached to the people and I worked super hard.We saw endless of miracles from the Lord. I loved the comps that served with me there, I got soo lucky! I felt that the Lord was grateful for the work that I did there, I feel accomplished and excited to see what this new area and transfer will bring. I am serving in Wake Village, Texas! It is actually Sister Durtschi's old area and so I have just been bragging about her to all of the members here. It seems like they really loved her too and so I hope that they will love me too! This area is actually pretty cool for a couple reasons. 1- IT IS IN TEXAS! 2-I ALSO HAVE PART OF ARKANSAS IN MY AREA! you know what that means right? YUP! I have served in ALL of the states in my mission!! I get to kill to birds with one stone! I am so excited about it!

My comp is Sister Anderson. She has been out for about 8 months. She is super sweet and guess where she is from? WASHINGTON!! I am soo excited! That is a lot of our conversations are about! I am sure we will work hard together. She is an obedient missionary and loves the Lord. We will see what the Lord has in store for us! I love y'all! This was basically my week, aside the fact that I miss Sister Durtschi and Sandhill I am doing okay. I am excited to hear from you soon!

Love,
Sister Scott (:
