Richton, MS- Week #64

Hey Everybody!

How are y'all doing?? How is life going?? Summer is almost over I hope y'all are soaking it up!

So, this week was not that eventful so I apologize in advance! We have been kinda all over the place! This transfer we have not really been able to tract at all, the stake presidency is still working out the kinks with the city council and so hopefully we will be able to go save some lives soon! God has had his hand in Sandhill! He is has provided us with people to teach, has helped our branch members give referrals, and we were able to do some of our own finding without tracting which is super awesome! We have had our schedules filled with things to do! I am soo grateful for that!

This week I just wanted to share some miracle stories that have happened this week because there were too many! Sister Durtschi and I have been studying a talk entitled "Miracles" by Elder Oaks. I will attach the talk on here at the end! It is such a good read!

This week we were able to see the ROGER'S! We haven't really seen them much since they have been baptized and so we were happy to see them and teach them again! Bristle (Recent Convert) has already been a stellar missionary and invited her friend Willey to take the lessons! He is super cool, we taught him the restoration and it was awesome! He had a ton of good questions which is a good sign and we invited him to come to church with us on Sunday and he said YES! It was super amazing! He actually did come and Bristle came too! It was such a huge blessing and a MIRACLE!

Another miracle that we saw this week was Clynt Walley. He is a less active that Sister Saunders and I started teaching about 4 months ago. He has been through a lot in his life, and continues to have some struggles with life now. He is a senior in high school, and he found himself in the wrong crowd of friends. He got into chewing tobacco, and he also dips. He has gotten himself in trouble with some girls from school and it is just all a bad situation. It is AMAZING! The past four months I have watched him slowly, but surely he began to read the Book Of Mormon, he started to say sincere prayers in lessons. He INVITED his dad to join in on the lessons. Eventually after 5 YEARS of not coming to church he came to church yesterday. Isn't that amazing??? 5 YEARS Y'ALL! How many of us believe that an less active of 5 years of not coming to church would actually come? I know before my mission I would think that is crazy! This week we have been telling the branch members that he was going to come, but no one believed us. It was amazing to see him walk in the church, in his Sunday best and participate in sacrament. I think that is soo amazing! The spirit was soo  powerful. The Clynt I know 4 months ago would not have came, but he did. This is a miracle to me.

In the talk by Elder Oaks he talks about how there are Macro Miracles (Big miracles) and Micro Miracles (small miracles). He goes on to say that one of the  biggest macro miracles is the Saviors Atonement....but even GREATER miracle than the atonement is a CHANGE IN AN INDIVIDUALS HEART! Think about that. That is GREATER than the Atonement Of Christ. This is why missions are so amazing. We see these MACRO miracles all of the time. I know that God is a God of Miracles. He loves us. He will show His hand in our lives. Miracles surround us at every corner. We just have to watch for them. Both Macro and Micro miracles are. I know this is true. I love y'all so much! I hope you have a amazing week!

Love, Sister Scott
